Creating Your Not-To-Do list

January 23rd, 2013

I love taking an idea and turning it on its head. Especially if that particular idea hasn’t been working or taking me to new satisfying places.

Do you sometimes get in the way of your own success? I do. My most troublesome habit is not being able to let things go. (Not “things” as in possessions, but rather emotional clutter.) I wish I could. I can keep wishing or really do something about it. So, I’m springing into action.

Here’s a list of what I’m going to let go in 2013:

  • Constantly stressing out over the clothes I no longer fit into – they simply don’t fit and may or may not fit again. (They will be donated or packed away.)
  • I will overlook that my fabulous partner has an inability to put things away in the same diligent manner I was born to do naturally
  • Making my bed daily
  • Believing that every bad thought will attract bad things to happen to me
  • Fanatically trying to get through my To-Do list and staying up way too late with no ‘me’ time

I don’t expect this to be easy but even jotting these thoughts down is a great start. How about you? I would love to hear what you’re letting go of this year.
