Duly Noted

July 19th, 2014

Even though summer is still in full swing, I’m thinking ahead to the sweet days of September when fresh-faced young adults will descend onto college campuses.

I’d love it if you share this with anyone heading off soon to their next great educational adventure.

tips for students studying and loose paperwork

As a professional organizer I see a lot of paper work, but nothing compares to the amount of paper you need to juggle when you’re in school.

Nowadays school notes come in many forms: Electronic, Loose Paper, and Hand Written. You don’t need to take all your notes to each class but you do need to be able to keep the notes in chronological order.

The trick is to stay consistent with punching the holes in handouts and getting them into your course binder promptly, either in class or the same day. If you’re a paper person, printing important homework and articles will be imperative.

Back in your dorm room, you can store your binders, notebooks and project folders in vertical sorters like this, a favourite of mine to keep desktops free of debris and ready for distraction-free studying.
